🔧 PolyGuild Adventurers – Major Progress Update!


This devlog highlights some of the biggest changes and ongoing work in PolyGuild Adventurers. From item balance to expanded world design, here’s what’s new and what’s coming!

⚔️ Equipment & Item Overhaul

  • 🛡️ Durability System Added: Equipped items now lose 5% durability on death. Make sure to repair your gear often!

  • ☠️ Death Sickness Mechanic: Dying now applies Death Sickness, a debuff that reduces all attributes by 5% per stack.

    • Stacks up to 10 times, each lasting 2 minutes.

    • Stacks decay over time, and future updates will introduce new ways to cleanse or shorten the effect.

  • 🧪 Potion Price Drop: All healing and utility potions are now more affordable.

  • 🔄 Town Portal Scrolls Removed: These are no longer needed. Respawn Scrolls remain available for strategic revivals.

  • 🔨 Repair Hammer Cost Reduced: Item repairs are now cheaper and more accessible.

  • 💎 Rarity-Based Pricing Adjusted: Item sell prices have been rebalanced to reflect their rarity tiers.

  • New Elemental Power Stat: All weapons now feature a Power stat that scales with their elemental type, adding more clarity to weapon effectiveness.

🗺️ World Map System Expansion

  • 🌍 Drastically Overhauled Map: While the landmass hasn't grown, there's much more to explore with new secrets, quests, and connected regions.

  • 📖 World Map Purchase: Players can now purchase the World Map in-game, unlocking several powerful features:

    • Full Region Visibility

    • 📍 Discoverable Points of Interest

    • 🚩 Fast Travel (Towns and Villages only)

    • 🧭 Quest Marker Integration – Quest locations and quest item positions are now visible on the map and nearby compass.

    • 🎯 Custom Waypoints – Set your own markers for personalized navigation.

  • 🚫 Fast Travel Restrictions: Some areas will restrict fast travel, adding depth and challenge to exploration.

🏴‍☠️ Map Merge & Monster Additions

  • 🏝️ Coastal Cliff Map Merged: Now seamlessly connected to the main world map!

    • Enables smoother access to the Pirate Side Quest and Main Dungeon (currently playable but still being refined).

  • 🐲 Five New Monsters Added

    • One of these is a World Boss (early setup; full mechanics coming soon!).

📜 Quest System Rework

  • 🧭 Quest Location Fixes: Most quests now have accurate location markers.

  • 🔍 Manual Objective Discovery: Some quests won’t display locations, encouraging exploration and player intuition.

  • 🗺️ Map & Compass Quest Markers: Most quest-related objects now appear on the map and compass.

  • Temporary Quest Removals: A few older quests have been temporarily removed while being reworked.

  • 🆘 Escort & Rescue Quests: These are still under development but planned for future updates.
